Devon wonders why it’s required to be civil to each other.
Nate says it’s because he and Audra are seeing each other. He’d like it to be less awkward at times like this.
Devon knew they were spending time together but thought it was just lunches and coffees. He wasn’t expecting it to turn into something like this.
Nate says they aren’t putting any labels on it.
Audra agrees and says they are simply enjoying each other’s company. She suggests that’s a good enough reason to be civil.
Devon isn’t sure what she wants from him and wonders if Nate wants to hear what he thinks.
Nate says not if it’s opinions about who he spends time with.
Audra jumps in and halts the rising tension between them. She says none of this is necessary. She’s fond of Nate, and there are no ulterior motives concerning any company takeover. She is happily running Glissade.Devon claims that’s the company she stole from his father.
Nate can’t believe Devon is defending Tucker.
Devon says that Audra hasn’t changed a bit and leaves the jazz lounge.
Crimson Lights
Kyle and Summer bump into each other while ordering coffee. They are both on the way to the joint meeting with their lawyers.
Summer says they must remain positive and not allow their lawyers to turn this back into a war.
Kyle doesn’t miss the hostility.
Neither does she. They both said things they regret and are happy they can be civil again.Kyle asks if she’s ready.
She takes one last sip and says she is. They rush out to the meeting.
Society
Lauren and Nikki meet at Society and catch up on things. Lauren asks why Nikki would allow Adam to run Newman Media. She thought Nikki wanted to run it with Victoria.
Nikki tells her it’s what Victor wanted.
Lauren doesn’t believe Nikki would just back away so easily and says something is off. She asks what it is.
Nikki says she didn’t back off; she and Victor are working on something secretive, but she can’t talk about it.
Lauren bets she can get it out of her.
