Virgin River season 4: Jack NOT the father of Charmaine’s twins as fans expose actor clue?
VIRGIN RIVER fans have uncovered an intriguing clue for the next season which could finally resolve the ongoing drama between Jack and Charmaine.

Netflix subscribers were thrilled when comfy favourite Virgin River received a double renewal for seasons four and five. After this year’s dramatic instalment, there are still a number of loose ends left to tie up, including the true parentage of Charmaine’s (played by Lauren Hammersley) still unborn twins.

Virgin River star Lauren Hammersley’s current location could resolve a major mystery still hanging over the latest season of the small town romance.

In the first season, Hammersley’s character Charmaine accused Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) of being the father of her unborn child.

By season two, viewers discovered Charmaine was actually expecting twins.

However, Jack’s former friends-with-benefits is still not showing by the time season three rolled around.

Her pregancy’s vague timeline is still not the biggest enigma hanging over Virgin River’s next instalment, though, as it has still yet to be confirmed if Jack is actually the father.

Now, the actress’s recent social media updates could finally provide an answer.

One fan took their speculation to Reddit to claim Hammersley’s move to Nova Scotia has thrown a question mark over her future with the Netflix series.

User Laurinha_ posted: “I was surprised to notice that, unlike other actors that are obviously working on the 4th season non-stop, Lauren Hammersley seems to be in Nova Scotia.”

Filming for the fourth season of Virgin River is currently already underway following the series’ recent renewal.

As production takes place in Vancouver, this would mean Hammersley is currently around 5,500km from the set of the series.

Of course, this doesn’t rule out Charmaine making any appearances in the next season whatsoever.

When the news broke over the weekend, Hammersley celebrated the renewal on Instagram but did not confirm whether or not she’ll be back.

The viewer continued: “Soooooo… I’m pretty sure that she won’t be a major character in the 4th season.

“Meaning that it is very likely that (surprise, surprise – everyone rolling eyes) the show will find a quick way to solve the twins 3 seasons long drama.”

Hammersley could quite easily take a trip to Vancouver for the latter half of the show’s season four shoot, which is expected to wrap before Christmas.

Even so, this still means Charmaine will likely have a reduced role in the coming episodes, and her conflict with Jack about the twins could take a backseat to the rest of the drama.

Finally, the post concluded: “As many here around wondered about, I think this is just the confirmation that Jack is not the father and Charmaine will be out of his life.”

With Jack’s maybe-fiancée Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) also expecting, his flings with Charmaine seem to be a thing of the past once and for all.

Fans will now just have to wait until the next season to find out if he’ll have to take care of three children or if Charmaine will be able to track down the real father.
