UNPALLETTABLE ‘Can’t they be deleted’ rage Emmerdale fans as disgraced Roxanne Pallett makes soap debut in throwback episodes

EMMERDALE fans have been left raging after a disgraced star ‘debuted’ on-screen in classic episodes.

Past Emmerdale episodes are available to watch on streaming platform ITVX.

Viewers, however, have shared their disappointment after re-watching the first appearance of a-now controversial star.

The character Jo Stiles (also Sugden), played by actress Roxanne Pallett, appeared on the ITV show from 2005 to 2008.

A decade after leaving the soap, Roxanne found herself in controversy whilst participating in the twenty-second series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2018.

During her time in the house, Roxanne falsely accused fellow housemate Ryan Thomas, known for his role as Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street, of punching her.

This sparked a row which saw Ryan given a formal warning while Roxanne slept in the spare bedroom, claiming she felt uncomfortable sleeping in the same room as him.

Ultimately, Roxanne decided to leave the house in the early hours of Day 17.

Two days later, the actress returned for an interview with show host Emma Willis, in which she apologised, said she had made a “horrible mistake” and expressed a desire to be forgiven for her actions.Classic Emmerdale viewers have been watching scenes featuring Jo Stiles, played by Roxanne Pallett

Ryan went on to win that series of Celebrity Big Brother, over The Only Way Is Essex star Dan Osborne and Cheers actress Kirstie Alley.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, some viewers shared their unhappiness over seeing Roxanne’s early scenes play out again, as one wrote: “EWWWWWWWW!!!!! Roxanne Pallett arrival in #Emmerdal.

“Pity those scenes with her, can’t be deleted #ClassicEmmerdale.”

Another added: “A certain Miss Pallett has just arrived on #ClassicEmmerdale.”

While a third shared: “Oh god it’s Jo, can’t stand this woman…. #classicemmerdale,”

As Emmerdale fans demand Roxanne’s scenes be axed, it wouldn’t be the first time the soap has been forced to remove a disgraced figure.

Bosses scrubbed a forgotten Phillip Schofield cameo from a 2005 episode of classic Emmerdale.

The former This Morning star and co-host Fern Britton appeared in the ITV soap opera when they interviewed Alan Turner (Richard Thorp) in character.

Meanwhile, Roxanne’s character Jo Stiles arrived in Emmerdale as the new receptionist at the vets’ surgery.

She later married Andy Sugden (Kelvin Fletcher) although this union ended in divorce.
