EastEnders’ Lacey Turner begs co-star to return to ‘get whole family back together’

EastEnders Lacey Turner has shared which former co-stars she would love to come back.

Actress Lacey shot to fame playing Stacey Slater on BBC’s EastEnders – making her debut in 2004. And it’s fair to say she has gone on to become one of the soap’s most-loved stars.

Over the years, Lacey’s had some big storylines too playing Stacey. From her bipolar battle and many affairs to murder, Stacey’s time in Walford has not been short of drama.

And during her 17-year-stint on the show, Lacey has seen a slew of characters come and go. But according to the actress, there are two actors she would “love more than anything” to make a comeback.

Speaking on Isolation Interviews, Lacey was quizzed on which former EastEnders colleague she’d love to bring back. She said: “Jake Wood and Jo Joyner definitely!”

Fans will recall Jake played Stacey’s lover Max Branning, while Jo played his wife Tanya. Lacey explained: “I love working with Jake, he never does the same thing twice.EastEnders

“So what’s lovely about Jake is you always have to listen to him, sometimes your lines just come out without you thinking, but with Jake you have to listen. He’s so fantastic, as is Jo!”

Lacey’s keen for Jake, who plays Max, to make a return
And it turns out Lacey is so keen for the pair to make a return – that she’s even had talks with them to come back to the soap. Lacey added: “I mean I would love more than anything for Jo to come back.

“Then you’d have the whole Branning family back together. You’ve got Lauren. We just need Jake and Jo! We have tried to talk them into coming back but maybe one day, fingers crossed,” she added.

Also during the interview, Lacey hinted that Stacey could be rekindling things with a former flame – and fans most likely won’t be too happy about it.

Speaking on Isolation Interviews, Stacey gushed over the Max and Stacey storyline. She said: “At the time I don’t think we knew it was going to be that massive, but people really invested in it and you know, people were you really following it.”

Lacey went on: “We had this bond between Max and Stacey. They will always have this bond simmering underneath.”

And appearing to tease a future Max and Stacey romance again, Lacey added: “And you never know when it’s going to rear its head. It was so clever.”
