EastEnders fans only just realising where they’ve seen new Mitchell brother before

EastEnders fans have been left gobsmacked after realising where they have seen the new Teddy Mitchell actor before.

The character, played by Roland Manookian, made his soap debut this week. Teddy rocked up to Walford with his sons Harry (Elijah Holloway) and Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) looking for his father Stevie (Alan Ford).

As fans will recall, Stevie is the estranged father of Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) who turned up to the square earlier this year looking to make amends. The old man found himself in hospital recently, after getting knocked down by his grandson Will (Freddie Phillips).

Hospitalised, during Tuesday’s iPlayer episode (June 26) Stevie was then visited by his son Teddy, and grandchildren Harry and Barney. After spotting Will talking to Stevie, Teddy was determined to get to the bottom of things.

He headed to Walford to investigate further, meanwhile, sons Harry and Barney mingled with the rest of the Walford residents. Things took a dramatic turn though, when Billy found out Will was talking to a ‘random man’ at the Queen Vic.EastEnders

Billy and the rest of the Mitchell clan headed over there to find Will talking to Teddy. And in a shock twist, Stevie revealed to everyone that Teddy and Billy are actually brothers.

The actor has got plenty of fans talking
However, it’s fair to say fans are gobsmacked after realising what Teddy actor Roland Manookian has been in before. No stranger to appearing on screens, Roland has starred in the likes of The Bill and Once Upon a Time in London.

But it’s his role in 2004’s The Football Factory that soap fans recognised him from. Roland played Zeberdee in the British drama film – that also starred EastEnders legend Danny Dyer.

Reacting to Roland’s new stint on EastEnders one fan said on a Facebook fan page: “OMG!! I’ve just realised who the new Mitchell is!! Zeberdee!! If you know, you know.”

Someone else added: “I knew that I knew him from somewhere!” A third penned: “Bloody hell it is.” Another proclaimed: “He aint changed much has he haha.”

A fifth chimed in and wrote: “knew I’d recognised his face from somewhere!!” A sixth penned: “Can’t believe it’s zeeberdee off football factory.”
