ONE Emmerdale resident was left in floods of tears after being rocked by a sudden passing.

The Dingle clan were forced to rally around after the upsetting news amid what has been a difficult time for the family.

Minty the Lamb died abruptly leaving young Isaac Dingle heartbroken.

Isaac had begged and begged his farmer mum Moira to keep Minty as a pet after it was revealed she planned to brutally slaughter the animal after it was abandoned by its mother.

It saw Isaac rebel against their farming lifestyle as he protested in support of the animal’s rights.

Dad Cain eventually let Isaac keep Minty much to Moira’s chagrin after he formed a strong bond with the pet.

Moira had always remained cautious as she pleaded that Minty was on borrowed time and that his death cruelly loomed.

As Moira and Cain rowed over the imprisoned Matty Barton and the revelations that the transgender prisoner has an inmate, they were stopped in their tracks by the news that Minty was no more.

Cain dropped his hard exterior as he consoled his weeping son who was let utterly devastated at the situation.

As the father and son embraced, Isaac cried out: “But I don’t want him to be dead!”

Moira began to get emotional as she could see the pain and hurt in poor Isaac’s face as she said: “Oh, I know you don’t sweetheart, you do remember that I said that this might happen?”

Isaac replied: “Because he was orphaned and his mummy left him?”

As Moira spoke about Minty’s life, Isaac’s emotions continued to flood the Dingle farm as he exclaimed: “But I loved him!”

“He loved you very much,” Moira said back as she told her son: “I’m so sorry Isaac, I am so sorry that this has happened to you.”

Moira was then unable to control her tears as Cain steeped in to help comfort Isaac once again.

Just a few weeks before Minty died, Isaac was left accusing his parents of murdering the lamb after he went missing.

Eventually, the lamb was found safe and sound with any accusations of foul play ruled out.
