CORONATION Street star Jack P Shepherd has announced he is engaged to long-term love Hanni Treweek.
The actor – who plays David Platt in the ITV soap – got down on one knee on a romantic safari holiday with influencer Hanni.
The couple posted pictures of themselves on the safari kissing with the caption: “05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!! 💍😍🇹🇿🐘⛺️☀️”
The couple spent two weeks in Africa earlier this month visiting Tanzania to go on safari in the Serengeti before flying to Zanzibar for a luxury beach break.
It was while on the Serengeti that Jack proposed.
They have been together for six years having met when Hanni worked on the soap in the press office.
She later became a storyliner before quitting to become a fashion influencer.
Actor Jack has played hairdresser David in the soap for 24 years after joining as a child star in 2000.
Friends, co-stars and fans flocked to congratulate the happy couple.
Jack’s on-screen wife Julia Goulding said: “Such beautiful news! Congratulations to you both, absolutely perfect couple ❤️❤️ xxx”
Corrie’s Alan Halsall added: “😍Congratulations to the pair of you xx”
Jack’s pal and former Corrie wife Michelle Keegan also added her congratulatons, writing: “Awww congratulations to you both 🤍✨ xx”
The star’s other former on-screen wife Paula Lane also congratulated the couple and revealed she had an idea it was coming.
She wrote: “So strange I had such a feeling about this when I saw your adventure! Huge congratulations both of you xxx”
Bhavna Limbachia added: “Aww huge congratulations guys ❤️❤️”
Jack’s on-screen son Paddy Bever sent a love heart emoji while Georgia May Foote added: “Aww congratulations guys!!!! X”
