Casualty’s Dylan Keogh’s life off-screen from arrival of twins to TV star wife

Actor William Beck is best known for his starring role as Dylan Keogh in BBC drama Casualty. The British actor first took on the character in 2011, and following a brief departure in 2012, has been a staple on the show since 2014.

Dylan has been at the centre of intense storylines including his messy divorce with Sam Nicholls and more recently the death of his beloved dog Dervla, leaving fans distraught, reports the Mirror.

Away from the camera William leads a quieter life with his wife and twin boys. He is happily married to TV make-up artist Hannah Mallatratt, who boasts credits on TV shows and films such as 2003’s Between Two Women, TV series Cutting It and the one-off show Ghost Hunting with Girls Aloud

The couple likes to keep their personal lives out of the spotlight, although William has shared a few family photos on social media over the years.

“When I have time off I like spending it with my wife – we got married only last year – and she keeps me from the worst excesses of a luvvie lifestyle. We both like to relax with vigorous physical exertion; boxing, running, cluedo. We love the cinema too,” he shared with Holby TV.

Before his acting career took off, William attended medical school and worked in hospitals. However, he decided to leave medical school, having previously admitted that he would get “bored very quickly”.

This led him to choose a different path and pursue acting, inspired by some individuals he met during his studies.

His acting career saw him land roles in films such as Northanger Abbey, Snatch and Goal II: Living the Dream, as well as TV series including Red Cap, Robin Hood and Vital Signs. He also featured in The Suspicions of Mr Whicher.
