BREAKING POINT Casualty spoilers: Stevie makes a fatal mistake and Max takes a huge risk after tunnel collapse

CASUALTY spoilers have revealed how Stevie makes a deadly mistake and Max takes a significant risk after getting stuck between a rock and a hard place – literally.

The BBC hospital drama kicked off a new season last month after months off the air, and things are starting to heat up in the ED.

Next week on Casualty, Stevie is faced with another difficult situation after treating Nikhil, who has been involved in a fight at a wedding, which resulted in a gash above his eye that needs stitching.

Meanwhile, Nikhil’s new wife, Neha, grows frustrated and takes it out on Stevie.

When Stevie starts to feel threatened she deploys her bodycam and sends them out.

With Harry nowhere to be seen, a frustrated Stevie has to reiterate why the zero-tolerance rules are so important.

Later, Charlie approaches Stevie and tells her she should have waited for Harry before sending Nikhil home.

Max, who is on dialysis, also makes a risky decision after Jodie comes to support him, with the two sharing a touching moment and finally bonding.

He then proceeds to offer his services in the ED afterwards, on a high but is frustrated when Stevie and Dylan both turn him down.

When news of a tunnel collapse comes in, Max steps up to help, against Dylan and Jodie’s advice.

Later, Max puts himself in danger after arriving at the tunnel ready for action but has to navigate protestors.

Jan becomes concerned about Riley, who is trapped and heavily bleeding from his leg, as Max stands at the mouth of the tunnel and readies himself to go in.

However, he manages to burrow through the cramped tunnel, reaching Riley and his brother Alex, but things soon go wrong.Jody finally tells Max how she really feels

Alex then ends up having to calm Max down and helping him breathe when he starts struggling.

When Max finally arrives back in the ED, he is confronted by Jodie, who has been worrying about him the whole time.

Jodie accuses Max of risking his life when she does everything she can to help him.

She then admits to him that she has been undergoing tests to see if she is a match for his failing kidney, which leaves him furious and refuses her help.

However, Jodie bites back, insisting that this isn’t just about him.

Casualty airs on Saturday nights on BBC One. The show is now releasing episodes early on BBC iPlayer at 6am on the day of transmission
