Emmerdale’s Tom King puts foot down over Amelia – as Belle is set to get help

Tom King (James Chase) proved in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale that he doesn’t intend on dumping Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) anytime soon, which leaves her in huge danger.

Tom got with Amelia a few months ago in an attempt to make Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) jealous. Instead, this fuelled Belle’s desperation to destroy Tom, as she grew fearful that Amelia would become his next victim.

While Belle has tried her absolute best to see an end to her abusive husband, Amelia has remained under his manipulative spell. Shortly after Belle attacked Tom with an axe in self-defence, her family rallied around to support her, while Amelia painted Tom as the victim.

In tonight’s episode, Amelia surprised Tom with some food in the café. She used this as the opportunity for them to talk, after Amelia wondered last week if Tom was just using her.

Tom tempted Amelia with a posh date and then an afternoon together with young Esther. She smiled and agreed, pleased to be back on track.

Later on, the couple arrived in the pub. Amelia was a little hesitant and knew a lot of village residents would stare at her and Tom.

The evil man then told Amelia if they visit the pub regularly, everyone will eventually get used to and come to accept that they are an item.

Meanwhile, Sam Dingle (James Hooton) was visiting Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) at Tenants. The local doctor needed a maintenance job sorting, but also used this as an opportunity to ask Sam how Samson (Sam Hall) is doing.

Last week, Sam told Liam that Samson is struggling while in prison and the relationship between them has changed.

Tonight, Sam seemed to think that Samson didn’t really want anything to do with him anymore, and reckoned the sudden change was all his fault.Amelia Spencer outside in the village, Tom King inside Dale Head and Belle Dingle in the pub back room in Emmerdale

Liam offered his advice and Sam took it on board, but not quite to the extent Liam had hoped.

Instead of doing something to change the dynamic between him and his son, Sam announced that he would instead try and help Belle.

It wasn’t quite what Liam was expecting but nevertheless, going snaring with her brother will certainly distract Belle from her problems for a little while.
