Casualty’s Dylan Keogh star labelled ‘scene-stealer’ as he reaches incredible milestone

Casualty’s William Beck has been lauded as a “scene-stealer” for his compelling performance as Dylan Keogh in the latest nail-biting episode of BBC’s much-loved medical drama, which was broadcast on Saturday, August 31.

In the edge-of-your-seat 10th instalment of the Storm Damage miniseries, Iain Dean (played by Michael Stevenson) discovers new clues about his attacker, while Jan Jenning (Di Botcher) and Jacob Masters (Charles Venn) provide care to a young stroke patient.

Meanwhile, Dylan is seen grappling with the recent loss of his beloved dog Dervla, even as he embarks on a date with Sophia Peters (played by Kellie Shirley).

The date kicks off on an awkward footing and spirals downwards from there.

As the dialogue takes a turn for the serious, Sophia makes a hasty exit, leaving Dylan to nurse his drink solo at the Hope and Anchor, visibly ill at ease, reports OK!.

While the audience had mixed reactions to the potential romance, they were unanimous in their praise for William’s standout portrayal in the episode.

“Dylan’s the best. Steals every scene he’s in,” one viewer raved on X (formerly Twitter).

“And I know I’ve said it many times, but William Beck is a superb actor.”

“Dylan Keogh appreciation post because he deserves it,” another viewer posted. “(And so does Will Beck because he’s a brilliant actor).”

A third added: “We love you Dylan Keogh. He’s the sweetest.”

Some fans also took this moment to celebrate William’s significant career achievement this week.

The BBC drama Casualty has witnessed a plethora of iconic characters, and one such star is the much-adored TV actor who joined back in 2011. Now, with a commendable run covering 400 episodes, he’s showing no signs of stopping any time soon.

Devotees of the show have eagerly expressed their adoration for the actor, with one fan remarking: “The BBC Casualty cast giving Will AKA Dylan Keogh the well deserved praise he deserves,” and another chiming in: “Happy 400th episode to my favourite, Will/Dylan.”Casualty to mark 30th anniversary with ‘shocking stunt’ | TV & Radio ...

One more admirer voiced their enthusiasm: “A massive congratulations to Will Beck who has reached 400 episodes. Thank you for giving us the iconic Dr Dylan Keogh.”

As this year’s gripping Casualty storyline Storm Damage approaches its dramatic two-part finale next week, fans are left in suspense about what lies ahead for the beloved Dr Dylan.

Speculation abounds regarding the potential for burgeoning romance between Dylan and Sophia, or whether they might conclude that friendship is their best option.

Fate is yet to unveil the future for these characters.

Casualty airs Saturdays on BBC One and is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
