Helen Flanagan has broken down after admitting that she still has a “difficult relationship” to her former flame Scott Sinclair.
Former Coronation Street icon Helen, 33, said that co-parenting their children together despite being broken up has been “extremely emotionally draining”. She added that her relationship with Scott as parents also makes it incredibly tough for her mentally.
Opening up in an Instagram post earlier this week, Helen explained that she had welled up and sobbed over the weekend due to the stress of raising three children in two different households. Flanagan and Sinclair are proud parents to Matilda, seven; Delilah, five; and Charlie, two.
The pair had been together for 13 years, with the twosome seemingly going from strength to strength in their relationships. However, in October 2022, the pair announced that they would be splitting – a move that left Helen devastated.

Helen’s brave moment on social media came after she spoiled her eldest daughter with a trip to the Waldorf Hotel in central London. The pair shared beautiful moments, including tucking into some tea and cake, with music by a trained harpist.
But as the mother and daughter duo enjoyed their trip on Monday (June 17), Helen admitted she welled up as she did what she could to make Matilda happy.
“Matilda and I had a girls day on Saturday,” she explained in the post’s caption. “Matilda wanted to go to the Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea at the Waldorf and it was so lovely.

“I’m so proud of the beautiful girl Matilda is and how lovely and kind and fun she is and how well she adapts to change,” Helen continued. “I felt really emotional that day, a lot of personal things going on and it can be extremely emotionally draining co-parenting when you have a difficult relationship.”
She bravely added that she had been feeling “bad mum guilt” due to the nature of her work requiring her to be up and down from London for the sake of work. At first, there were no tables available for the pair but thanks to the generosity of a couple, they were able to secure some seats.
She said to the couple directly in the post: “If you see this thank you my little girl was made up. I left my phone to try and be more present and lots of chats and cuddles and her beautiful little face.
“So grateful for Matilda, mummy got a bit teary but they were happy tears. I had therapy at the beginning of the year and I felt like I was able to come back to my natural self and not suppress my emotions and I let myself cry now.
It comes as Helen starts to put herself back out on the dating market as she is said to be signed for the latest series of Celebs Go Dating. An insider for the show said that the actress was the “perfect candidate” for the show and E4 are hoping that she will take part in the next series.
